“Our hearts go out to the family and community of Reserve Officer Robert Libke. We are deeply saddened that this act of violence has taken the life of one of our young reserve officers.

“The sacrifices that our law enforcement officers make in the line of duty on a daily basis help to make our communities safe. This is especially true for our reserve officers.

“Reserve officers, like Robert Libke, not only help to maintain public safety; they are also important leaders and role models in our community. We hope that the Oregon City and surrounding communities can heal from this great loss.”
