Free Mammograms
Women without health insurance can now get free mammograms in the east Portland area. Adventist Medical Center received a $50,000 grant from the National Breast Cancer Foundation and they have decided to use the money for free exams. An Adventist spokesperson says it's an answer for a growing population without adequate health coverage.
Women 40 years and older who do not have health insurance and have not had a mammogram in more than one year should call Adventist at (503) 251-6245.
