Dear Friend,
Thank you for making our 2008 Gala Benefit a
complete success!
An
Evening in the Vineyard, our 2008 Benefit was a complete
success this year! Filled
with laughter and excitement, the raffles, auctions, and
lively musical entertainment all contributed to us
exceeding our goal and raising over $100,000.
The
Gala represents a significant portion of our budget,
allowing us the flexibility necessary to respond to the
critical needs and enhancements in each of our
programs. Donor support through events and
contributions fills the gaps that government contracts
and foundation grants do not cover, making it possible
for us to continue to offer unique and innovative
services that are consistent and appropriate to the
ever-changing needs of the women, children, and families
who rely on us.
As
a special part of the night, a courageous survivor,
Lily, shared her personal story and also the healing and
transformation that has occurred for her. We know
that breaking the silence is not easy and we were
honored and felt deep admiration for Lily and her
willingness to come forward and speak of her experiences
with the community.
Clackamas
Women's Services is deeply grateful to the community for
its steadfast support of the organization and for the
recognition that violence against women and children
deserves a community response and should not be
tolerated.

The Spirit of Holiday
Giving
In the spirit of giving
during the season of hope, once again, you, our loyal
supporters, ensured that no one in our care went
without. Because of you, our pantry shelves at the
shelters were filled, stockings were stuffed, and
children woke up to the miracle of Santa.
Kindness, compassion, and
hope.....traits we have come to know and rely on with
our donors. A special THANK YOU to you, our
supporters, who gave throughout the holiday
season. We deeply appreciate the generosity of
Holiday Drive Sponsors including: North Clackamas
Chamber of Commerce, The Safeway Foundation, The
Women of Willamette Valley Country Club, Sterling
Savings Bank, Clackamas Federal Credit Union, Unitus
Community Credit Union, and the many individuals,
families, and businesses who responded to our call to
action.
