Each year, CWS volunteers, community partners and staff put together a “Holiday Store” for our participants and their families. The store is located within our regular office space and each year helps over 110 families acquire presents for their families. We have this model set up for our participants as it allows for our participants to feel more empowered and individual. A goal at CWS is to give our participants the encouragement, resources and knowledge to reach their highest potential, through self-sufficiency and important life skills. In line with our mission, we provide a holiday store instead of the traditional “adopt-a-family” model, as it provides our participants with more freedom and self-determination.
Go to Holiday Wish List to see our wish list for the holidays.
Here is how it works:
Your organization, family or group can collect the items by having a party, doing a drive or any other way that works best for you. CWS will support you with the wish list or other information that you might need. Once you have collected your items, you can bring them by our location in December during our drop off dates.
