CALL 911
Assault, rape and attempted murder by an intimate partner are crimes…just as if a stranger committed the same crimes! The mandatory arrest law says the police must arrest a perpetrator if violence has occurred. Even if charges are not filed, the police report can be used as evidence in the future.

Temporary Restraining Orders (TRO's)

- Can request temporary custody of children.
- Can include workplace, school, etc.
- Must be renewed after one year.
- Hearings are at 1:00 p.m. at Clackamas & Multnomah County courthouses.
- Advocates are at courthouses to assist survivors in filling out applications.
