A display of three oversized wine glasses, each with an accumulated layer of wooden tokens, sits beneath a sign announcing “Give and Taste” in large, chalky letters. This setup, a permanent fixture at the Duck Pond Cellars tasting room, demonstrates the Fries Family’s ongoing commitment to community support through their Give & Taste Program.

For the first half of 2016, Clackamas Women’s Services will be a beneficiary of this program at Duck Pond Cellars. For a $2 fee, guests to the tasting room can sample a special Syrah which is not available in stores or on the general tasting menu. They then have the opportunity to direct the entirety of this fee to a nonprofit organization by placing a token in the wine glass representing their charity of choice.

Through June, travelling to beautiful Dundee and sampling a rare Duck Pond Syrah can yield lifesaving support for survivors of domestic violence.  The Give & Taste Program is just one of the creative ways that the Fries Family, whose vineyard holdings have grown to encompass over 1,000 acres in Oregon and Washington, gives back to the community. We thank Duck Pond Cellars and the Fries Family for their dedication to effecting positive change through charitable contributions!

Proceeds from sampling this Syrah can be directed to CWS through June 2016!
