New Staff Highlight

We are pleased to introduce you to some of the newest members of the team at Clackamas Women’s Services!

Diana Camarillo, Latina Services Coordinator

Diana will be working to develop CWS’ services for Latina survivors. Shas a tremendous amount of experience in the field of domestic violence services and has worked with Catholic Charities, OCADSV (Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence) and most recently Volunteers of America Home Free. Diana has the ability to use humor when presenting on difficult topics such as domestic violence and sexual assault. She loves doing karaoke and being near water!

Diana va a trabajar para desarrollar los servicos de CWS para las sobrevivientes Latinas. Ella tiene una enorme cantidad de experiencia en el campo de servicios para violencia doméstica y ha trabajado con Caridades Católicas, la Coalición En Contra de la Violencia Doméstica y Violencia Sexual del Estado de Oregón, y recientemente, en Voluntarios de América en el Programa de Home Free, coordinando la línea de crisis y proveyendo apoyo a familias sufriendo abuso. Diana tiene la habilidad de utilizar el humor cuando se presente sobre los temas difíciles como la violencia doméstica y el asalto sexual. ¡A ella le encanta cantar karaoke y estar cerca del agua!

Marlie Gooren, Rural Counselor

Marlie will be primarily based at A Safe Place but will be meeting with participants out in the rural community as well.  Marlie most recently completed a counseling internship at the Domestic Violence Resource Center in Washington County and graduated from Lewis & Clark with her Masters in Counseling in the spring.

A fun fact about Marlie: she got her black belt in Tang Soo Do Karate when she was 14!

Lolita Lawrence, Co-Located Advocate

Lola will be primarily stationed at the North Clackamas DHS branch working with individuals and families referred by self-sufficiency and child welfare.  Lola brings a wealth of experience working as a domestic violence co-located advocate at a DHS branch in Seattle and working most recently with individuals with disabilities in Houston.

To wind down, Lola colors pictures from her collection of coloring templates for meditation and relaxation.

Nicole Lopez, Advocate

Nicole is the newest advocate at CWS. She is excited to be working at the Family Justice Center because she interned here for nine months prior to being hired on. She graduated from Clackamas Community College this past June majoring in Human Services and she loves helping people, so she says that CWS is a perfect fit for her!

Nicole has been married for nearly nine years now and she has three awesome little boys who never fall short of keeping her on her toes. When she is not at work she loves to spend time with her guys. From doing something fun outdoors to watching movies, they always seem to entertain each other.

Hally Olsen

Hally Olsen is Relief Staff at CWS’ Emergency Shelter. She grew up in a small town in Eastern Oregon.  After graduation she moved to the Portland area to attend college.  Hally worked for Wells Fargo Bank in a variety of positions for 9 years while completing her degree at Portland State University.  Hally joined CWS as a volunteer in November of 2014 and was hired as relief staff in June of 2015.

Hally is very active in her daughters’ school serving on several committees & the school board.  She loves spending time with her husband & two girls, traveling, camping, hiking and trying new adventures.
