Two times a year CWS joins with other sister organizations across the United States to bring attention to the issues surrounding the work we do. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and April which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM.) During both months CWS works with other agencies to raise public awareness and bring education to Clackamas County.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) DVAM is represented with a purple ribbon and a variety of public awareness events and campaigns occur in throughout the United States. As part of our DVAM activities CWS partners with the Clackamas County Family Violence Coordinating Council (FVCC) to facilitate events and other types of opportunities for people in Clackamas County to be exposed to and learn about domestic violence and its effects on our community.
