Individual or family mental health counseling is one of the tools that a survivor can use to heal from the effects of an abusive relationship or sexual assault. CWS has a highly trained staff equipped to offer participant clients support in: creating a safety plan, starting the journey from trauma to healing, improving (or reestablishing) relationships to friends and family and gaining their support, and taking steps toward personal empowerment and stabilization.
We believe that all people are the “best experts” when it comes to their own experience. To facilitate this belief our counselors offer cutting-edge information and tools to increase understanding of domestic and sexual violence and affirm a survivor’s ability to make her/his own choices and decisions. These confidential services are available to adult and youth survivors and their families.
