CWS support groups offer the unique peer-based opportunity for survivors to support and encourage one another. Ideally, those who participate will find solidarity and friendship as they explore together what it means to live violence free lives. Journaling, art projects, and personal sharing are some of the tools used to empower healing and hope.
A number of groups are available throughout Clackamas County meeting in a number of confidential locations around the county. There is a variety of demographic or culturally specific groups including rural, teen girls and Latina culturally specific groups. Facilitated by highly trained staff and volunteers these groups generally meet weekly.
